I’ve been in digital photography for some time, but took a long hiatus from attempting anything hobbyst or professional. That was back in my Best Buy - Digital Imaging Department camera sales days. These days, I’ve started to really get into film photography. I enjoy experiencing this new medium. There is something more intentional about it. When you take a photo, you don’t know how it will be until you get it developed. So that fact keeps you focused on taking a great photograph, instead of taking hundreds. Another thing I have never liked about digitial is that huge amount of photos to go through at the end of the day. Where with film, 36 exposures per roll, and a cost associated with this, it means I’m more intentional with my shots.
